Ice Pack Test
It might sound strange, but the ice pack test is a successful way to diagnose people with Myasthenia Gravis. By cooling the muscles affected by MG, doctors have discovered temporary improvements to a patient's muscle strength. For the condition Ocular Myasthenia Gravis, the test is very simple with the medical professional placing a cooling eye pack over the eyes. If the eyes respond well and eye movement improves in the short term, this can help in the differentiation of MG from other conditions.
